RESOLUTION NO 2-7-06-1

A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE INTENT OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF

RIVERTON CITY TO EXPRESS ITS DESIRE THAT A STATE LIQUOR STORE NOT

BE LOCATED WITHIN ITS CITY BOUNDARIES.

Whereas

the Governing Body of Riverton is committed to the health, safety and welfare of its

citizens;

Whereas

the Governing Body of Riverton City wishes to be informed regarding the potential

location of a State Liquor Store within City bondaries;

Whereas

the Governing Body of Riverton recognizes that matters of alcoholic beverages are of

great public concern;

Whereas

the Governing Body of Riverton requests that the State Liquor Commission inform

them regarding potential locations of a State Liquor Store; and

Whereas

the Governing Body of Riverton City recongnizes the State Liquor Ommission has

certain rights to located facilities based on need and demand to serve patrons within the

State of Utah;

Be It Therfore Resolved by the Governing Body of Riverton City as follows:

The City Council does not support locating a State Liquor Store within Riverton City boundaries.
